Born on August 20, 1987, in Vienna, Austria, and began his wrestling career in his homeland, before moving on to compete around Europe and Japan. Formerly as Walter his hard-hitting, aggressive style, and has gained a reputation as one of the toughest wrestlers in the world.
Gunther (Walter) made his WWE debut in 2019, and quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with. He won the NXT UK Championship in April of that year, defeating Pete Dunne in a highly acclaimed match. Walter held the title for over two years, defending it against some of the best wrestlers in the world, before losing it to Ilja Dragunov in August 2021. 
Gunther is widely regarded as one of the top performers in the wrestling industry, and his matches are often praised for their intensity and physicality. He has also gained a reputation as a leader and mentor to younger wrestlers, both in WWE and elsewhere.
